Sinead, her sister, was also born. She became only the second female to be a winner of the show So You Think You're Funny in 2012. The surname she uses is Bea in honor of her deceased father. Aisling Cliodhnadh'Sullivan' was born in Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. Bea's father Brian is an equine veterinarian who committed suicide at the age of three. Bea didn't learn how her father passed away until she reached the age of thirteen. In 2017, Bea composed an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's relatives and adopted her stage name Bea in tribute. Bea as well as her sister Sinead were taken care of by their maternal grandmother Helen (nee Moloney) who was a secondary school teacher jockey trainer and professional jockey for a time. The family was awed by racing, horses and the racing industry. Bea was a child a tour guide for the Irish National Stud. From a very young age, Bea knew that she was not interested in the racing industry. She was more interested in the performance arts.
